Whirlpool Vantage

Anyone know anything about this high priced washer from Whirpool?? From what I have read, other than it great looks, on board computer to tell you how to treat stains, is there anything special about it over a Cabrio, or Bravos? For two grand, it should come with higher spin speeds, and an option to add more water if needed. The website lacks serious information on this new expensive machine. I am trying to find a Lowes that carries it. LOcal websites say it is currently unavalable, and on sale for 20% off. My guess is, it doesnt wash any better than its "cousins", it just looks better and loaded with more gadgets.

With that high price, Whirlpool could afford to give up some tax credit, and let the machine use more water, and energy to heat the water. Doesn't mean they will, of course.

See thread below in which these machines were discussed.

My take: get the top-of-the-line LG top-loader set which is at least as good, has similar features, and costs about half as much.

lowes has a set

The lowes in enterprise Alabama had a set on the floor

RE: Whirlpool Vantage

I bought a LG HE TL, not paying two grand for a fancy looking cabrio with a fancy control panel and limited heater use
