Please help. Our washer will not start. I have been all over the net looking for the particular failure. We can't get into diagnostic mode. The lights are stuck on 3,4, and spin. It beeps incessantly. We are considering the possibility that the computer is dead but would really like confirmation or at least thoughts anyone else has. Thanks!

There wouldn't be any beeping or lights if the control board was dead.

Fault Code 49 (00110001) = bad cold water valve. The control board checks for a valid electrical circuit to the valves immediately on connection to power, even if the machine is not turned on.

Check the valve's resistance reading if you have a multimeter. Should be 64 ohms on both.

Cold valve is part number 420238P. Several online sources, including ebay. Shop for price.
