Lowe's is selling the Duet 9640 set, one step up from the 9610, for $1440 right now... without the pedestals. Two pedestals would be another $498, but Lowe's does have free delivery and haul away of the old... so, on the face of it, that Costco deal doesn't look all that spectacular.

And yes, the German-made WP Duets are good machines with a long history of performing well.
