Hi everyone,

With all this talk about reducing the amount of detergent one uses in a FL, I was wondering, for those of you that add borax or oxy as a booster/water softener, do you use the full amount recommended on the packaging? Also, is there a rule of thumb for how much powdered detergent (I'm trying Seventh Generation) to start with?

Borax says to use 1/2 cup for front loaders.

Oxy says for to use 1-2 scoops per load, but doesn't specify which for a front loader.

And the Seventh Generation powdered detergent says "refer to the manufacturer's instructions" but those are long gone. (Had it 2+ years.)

Life was so much easier with TideHE liquid, but I'm almost certain I was overdosing with that and I really do want to shift to a more eco-friendly product.
