stinky blankets

I have a couple Martha Stewart Home throw-blankets in the family room, and when I wash them they stink to high heaven. Kind of a mixture of wet dog and mold type smell. (I do have dog, and I had stinky towel syndrome a while back which went away immediately after running a "pure cycle" on my Samsung FL. Haven't had it since.) Materials are 73% polyester and 17% acrylic.

Any thoughts? The smell is strong enough to stink up the room, but all of my other laundry seems fine.

take it to the cleaners and explain the problem. they should be able to remove the odors better than you may be able to.

RE: stinky blankets

What are you using to wash them in soap and water temp wise? Washer cycle? I found the frebreze laundry additive works well on stubborn odors. Read the bottle for use
