Getting Oil Stain Off of White Shirt after being in the Dryer

Hi,
I have a white cotton shirt that has what I think are a couple of oil stains on it.
I pre-spotted the shirt, the pre-spotting spray and stick did not remove the stains.
Also the shirt was put into the dryer.
Any helpful suggestions....

| Once it goes through the dryer, it's set completely. Throw it away. |

| I would try some Tide or Wisk on the spot and let it sit a while, then wash again in hot or under running hot water while you rub the spot. I have had good luck with both. Since yours has been dried it may not work,but it would be worth a try. |

| There are TWO options that you can try: 1) soak the stain in straight Dawn for at least an hour and then rub it brisky between your hands and rinse it out before rewashing, or 2) the more likely fix for the oil stain is to soak the stain in Goo Gone using the previous instructions. Keep in mind that Goo Gone stinks to high heaven so I suggest washing it out in the sink with plenty of detergent such as Dawn, prior to rewashing it in the clothes washer. I've gotten out oil stains that have been stained for ages. |

I've had a lot of success with Dawn taking out oily stains that have been through the dryer so second Dave's suggestion.
I use the dawn without the ammonia. It's a little hard to find, but walmart carries it on the bottom shelf. |

| I've gotten oil-on-cotton stains out that have been dried in with plain blue Dawn, Persil Color Gel and the Tide spray pre-spotter. You'll need to let it sit overnight in all cases. FYI - make sure you get the ~plain~ Dawn not any Oxi, anti-bacterial or moisturizing kind. |

| Dawn does the trick for me. mysteryclock makes a good point to make sure you get the original and not the Oxi, PowerClean, or moisturizing kinds. Good luck! |

Sorry I took a closer look at the stains, I think the stains could be chocolate.
I remembered I was with my grandchildren the last time I wore the shirt. Thanks again |

| You can try the Carbona Stain Devils formula #2 and see if it helps. Also, if you have a 'sanitary' cycle on your washer, it may do the trick for you as well. |
