What do the "Water+" and "Maximum Water" settings do?

These options add more water. The service manual says:

Water Plus: When Water Plus is selected, the water level is raised and/or an additional rinse cycle is carried out.

Depending on what you select, you can get either more water or rinses or both.

Maximum Water Level: Adjustment of the laundry process for soft water areas. Level III at rinse cycle.

So this option raises the water level for the rinses.

Thank you, but I don't understand. Two different settings that do the same thing?

Maximum Water Level adds water only to the rinses and considerably more than Water Plus, which adds some water to every step in the cycle (prewash, wash etc. ).
