Have to pick a washer/dryer

Posted by renorman (My Page) on

I have 2 weeks to find a washer/dryer. My husband is tired of me putting it off. The reason I can't decide is because of all of the choice out there! It's just overwhelming and quite frankly not very exciting. So, I am hoping all of you can point me in the right direction. I've looked at the Electrolux, LG and Samsung so far. I have 4 kids and do 2-3 loads a day. (We are a very busy family). Can you please help me and tell me which brand and model? Thanks!

We have the Whirlpool Duet Front Loaders (gas dryer) and could not be happier.
Good Luck

Stay away from GE... Review the posts here and see what the people have had good service from. Call your local appliance repair shop and ask them...

RE: Have to pick a washer/dryer

I have the Electrolux 70 series washer and dryer and LOVE these appliances. They're big enough that I've gone from 2 loads a day to keep up to being able to do 4 or 5 bigger loads and be done with it. I can also do smaller loads with good results. I like to be able to customize my washes, and I feel like these machines work for me instead of me working around them. I especially like that the washer will "agitate" the clothing after spinning so that it's fluffed up, it really helps with the wrinkles. I also like the cool down and extended tumble features in the dryer--also helps with wrinkles. I've had them for about 6 months and am happy so far. If you can hold off and wait for a rebate, you'll get a significant discount, too.
