 o
Inglis?

I am in the market for a gas dryer and was recommended an Inglis. Apparently they are made by Whirlpool. Does anyone own one and/or know if this is a decent brand? Thanks.

(This is the exact dryer):

RE: Inglis?

Inglis is a good brand. Generally it's a more basic line but build on a solid design and usually an excellent price point. I nearly bought an Inglis dryer but got the Whirlpool at a much better value. I have a cousin with an Inglis pair and he's thrilled with them. I don't know this particular model but most Whirlpool now puts the different brand names on basically the same models. For instance the Cabrio, Oasis and Bravos are essentially the same machine with minor differences differentiating the lines. They do this throughout the line with different names including Maytag, Whirlpool, Roper, Inglis, Estate, Admiral, Amana, etc. They also make a number of items branded Kenmore.

Isn't Inglis sold predominately in Canada?

It was in the past. Best Buy has carried it for a while in the U.S. They currently show one topload model on BestBuy.com.

A friend owns an Inglis w/d set, which she bought at Best Buy. Her washer is a TL, not a FL like the one at your link. She is very pleased with her set.
