There is water in my washing machine!

Well, I just wanted to share this with you. It's my German Duet with a full load of towels on Bulky Items. Should have seen it coming when the timer went from 0:45 to 1:00 hrs at the start of the rinse cycle - all that extra time was for filling.

As long as you aren't pulling up a chair to watch the action you'll be okay. Though with what is offered on TV it might actually be more entertaining to watch the washer!

So why won't they put a simple temperature selector labelled with actual temperatures on it for the U.S. market too?

(we know why they won't allow it to heat up to 200F/95C)

I agree. I love the Euro controls that tell you the actual target temp and top spin speed. Why do we get dumbed-down buttons?
