Are these all the same type of thing? Are they really worth the money? Seems like regular irons never get the wrinkles really out and take a long time, so if these mega irons are true to their hype, I'll cough up the extra $$. I would like to hear some up-to-date opinions tho, especially since I keep reading how various appliances used to be better, but are now made in China and the quality has suffered.

The ROI on these is questionable unless you do a lot of ironing. I do see them from time-to-time being sold-off inexpensively on eBay. They will require more setup than the usual handheld iron.

We have a Canadian brand: RELIABLE Steam Iron J490A You get plenty of steam and the build quality is excellent. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it. We purchased directly from the company with no problem.
