Miele W4842 Extra Rinse Option

This message is for sstava, but if any else knows...please chime in!

Sstava mentioned that if you set the W4842 to Water+ and not Water+ / Extra Rinse...you would lose the 2nd Rinse.

I have now scrolled thru my Settings menu at least 4 times today, and there is NO Extra Rinse option to select or unselect. Are our W4842 machines really that radically different???

Where in your W4842 Programming menu/settings, is there an Extra Rinse option?

I only have Water+, there is no Water+ and Extra Rinse combo option.

I can tell you that on the W4840, the Extra Rinse option doesn't add an extra rinse. It just enables the Sensitive button to allow the user to add an extra rinse. With Extra Rinse turned off, I found that the Sensitive button did nothing. So if the Sensitive button works on your W4842, then you have W4840-style Extra Rinse functionality.
