Over the weekend I had a small flood in the basement. The washer and dryer are elevated a few inches, but they still got just under two inches of water, I'd say. The dryer is gas, and the washing machine is a newer front loader.

What do I need to do about these appliances? I'm concerned about the gas dryer especially, since the gas line seems to go in at the very bottom of the rear of the dryer, which probably got wet.

Both appliances are unplugged right now, and I have not tried to use them. Is it safe to try them out? Do I need to call someone?
