Need a good basic washer & dryer

Daughter in need of a good basic washer & dryer set. Considering the Admiral Set (on sale for $299 each for washer & dryer- Model # ATW4675YQ,(washer) and
# AED4675YQ (electric dryer). Any one with experience on this brand? Also if you have other recommendations, would love to hear them. Thanks.

There is price and there is cost. The price of the Admiral may low, but for my money, I'd buy a Speed Queen set which is priced higher initially, but is built to last longer than any other brand on the market. Speed Queen also has the longest warranty of all the brands.

Thank you, kitchenkat. I just spoke with my daughter and unfortunately regular washer & dryer will not fit into the spot she has in mind in her small cottage. I guess she has to get a "compact set" if there is such a thing.
