Hi, I currently have a Whirlpool Duet Steam that is maybe 2-3 years old. It cleans well however my chief complaint for both the washer and the dryer is clothes tangling. I never had that problem with my previous front loader HE3t. The pant legs and arm legs all braid together to form an infinite laundry snake when I remove the clothing to the dryer.
In the dryer anything like a sheet or blanket balls up tightly twisted within 5 minutes and I have to constantly un-ball and un-twist so things dry properly.
Now being in the market for a new set I am hesitant to go with the Whirlpool again. Although that is the price range I want to stay in (no Miele or speed queen). I do need the large 4.3 or so cubic feet capacity for my family of 5. And of course the internal water heater is a must.
How are the newer Whirlpools as far as tangling, and what other brands should I look at that won't have that problem (but still clean in an excellent fashion, have high capacity, and good reliability)
thanks
