I've heard of this happening when the washer and or dryer are not level front to back.
Meaning there is more of a pitch to the back of the washer or dryer.
Check the front to back level or slightly pitch the level toward the front of the machine a little more.

Look at Electrolux or GE. They both offer a washer and dryer that are excellent for untangling items. The Electrolux Washer offers 'Shrink Guard'.....After the final spin, the wash drum rotates in both directions for 10 minutes. Clothes are 100% untangled, super fluffy and actually somewhat dried. Both GE & Electrolux offers dryers that reverse tumble, so clothes never get a chance to form a ball and get stuck.

Thank you! My own quick research also brought me to the electrolux wave touch. My local appliance guy gave me a quote and there is currently a 300.00 rebate on the 70's. He said those sell very well and they get good feedback.

I had also already ordered a more mid-range model of GE's for the lower level (second set) washer/dryer. Good to hear the GE's may be a good choice because I couldn't find a lot of info about them at the time.
