| This is my first post here on gw. We are about to start a remodel and I'm slowly working out the details on each room. Our current plans have a mud room/laundry room that is 5'6" by 12'6". A door on both the 5'6" walls that take you from the garage to the kitchen. This leaves the washer/dryer on the 12'6" wall along with a bench for taking off shoes, storing shoes and a broom closet. We have a front loading washer/dryer and I'm worried that I won't have enough room to pull out the laundry. How much space do you need between the wall and the washer/dryer? Thanks so much for your help. |

| I got out the tape measure to check how much room I would need to open the door and get the laundry out of my washer. It looks like you will be able to get the laundry out, but it will be tight. No one will be able to get past you when you are getting the laundry out, but if it is not a high traffic area, you should be ok. |
