Prices for the machines aside, Sears warranties are usually ridulously priced and you are stuck dealing with Sears for service. In some places their service has become terrible. Check before you buy (not with Sears). Other stores may have similar prices, better return policies and more service options. Do your homework.

The Kenmore model is sourced from LG.

The Maytag and Whirlpools are siblings, based on Fisher & Paykel mechanical design using their SmartDrive motor.

LG uses a similar motor.

The Kenmore model number referenced, 29002, is not the full number.
