About LINT???

I have both a Miele washer and dryer. I have never had one problem with either of them. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how I can clean the lint from inside the dryer. The set is 7 years old. I want to take off either the top or rear to get 7 years of build up, if there is any, out of it. Thanks in advance, PK
