Have a washer pan and drain under stacked front loader washer and dryer. Have to replace w/d and the delivery will stack w/d but it has to be left "out" of the pan so the plumber can reconnect the gas hook-up. Imagine an alcove situation with w/d stacked in it.

Have been thinking about slicing off front of drip pan. Anyone done that?

Then ? If should glue back...as problem with pan is it cuts off water drain from rest of room. Iif it overflows or water goes outside pan drain is worthless.

Anyone have thoughts on this?
