Maytag Neptune washer died (Yeah!) need new machine

After ten very unsatisfactory years of not really clean clothes, my Maytag Neptune washer has died. I will not fix it because of its lousy cleaning performance AND difficulty with dealing with Maytag customer service. My gut feeling is that I would like a TL rather than a FL for a couple of reasons: 1.) it would seem that using more water would get cleaner clothes, 2.) inability to dye clothes in a FL, 3.) my experience with FL machines has been good.
Budget is not a constraint, neither is space. I will need both washer and dryer because the 20 year old Maytag dryer must be about ready to quit one of these days and I might as well replace it while someone else can get some use out of it.
BTW, I have some European appliances in my kitchen and have been happy with their performance, so there is NO issue of brand loyalty. I simply want the best machines I can buy to make clean clothes for two active adults. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thank you.
