Kelly, I would not add a counter over your Duets, as they look fine just the way they are. (And as you point are fine for folding, now.) Your laundry room is very handsome just the way it is!

The problem with counters is access to the connections, so if you do decide to add one, try to figure out a way to make it easily liftable.

I'd take the money you would have spent on a laundry counter and add it too the counter budget somewhere else in the house.
