| DD was visiting for an overnight with DGS while DSIL was away on business. The 2nd day, yesterday, she mentioned she should buy a hat for our grandson since our usually pleasant weather has gotten really cold. So I dug out the free Red Heart pattern for a ski cap in any yarn for any size, and proceeded to knit him a navy ski cap to match his new pea coat and striped it with bits of left over worsted yarn. I finished it in time for all of us to go to dinner before they returned home. (As we ran errands in the afternoon, I knitted while she drove.) He is so cute in anything, but I was pleased she liked the hat. He will be 2 on Christmas Day and is making Christmas so fun for all of us this year. |
