Desperately seeking hooded cloak pattern

Hello all!

I'm a newbie here, but all the previous posts I've read show you all to be an extremely helpful bunch! :)

I've been clicking my fingers to the bone in search of a pattern (either knit or crochet... prefer knit, but not mandatory) for a hooded cloak/cape for an adult. Think 'Little Red Riding Hood'. lol I really would like to have it made for my daughter by Christmas. All I've been able to find so far are ponchos. I'd really like it to open all the way down the front.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!

Easier said than done. I did come across this one. You could add length to it. Is that sort of what you were looking for?

Thanks so much, Donna. That's the closest I've seen yet!

I appreciate the help. :)

That is gorgeous! I'd love it in a crochet pattern. Does anyone have it? BTW, what color are you making yours? Just curious. I think I want maroon.

This one is more see through (DCed) but full length crocheted.
