help with decrease for arm holes on vests

i am not new to crochet, have made many afghans, but now i want to make some vest like the old hippie vests but i can't figure the instructions on how to decrease on arm holes. any suggestions would help. thanks vicki

We would need to see the sentence in the directions, and then we could really help you. You decrease in crocheting quite easily. Insert the yarn into the stitch, make a loop and pull it through the stitch. To decrease, insert the yarn into the next stitch, make a loop, and pull it through the stitch. Now make a new loop and pull it through all three loops on your hook.
