| KnitPicks.com is having a yarn sale and one of the yarns includes two colors that appear (on the computer screen) to be perfect for our living room.
I'm wondering if the shine worsted would be appropriate for an afghan to drape over the back of a chair. It would not be stored... it will primarily be for decor, but used when needed on chilly evenings. I'll choose a simple stitch, like 2x2 rib, or moss stitch, but nothing lacy or too difficult. |

| I think that would make an excellent afghan. Machine washable and a natural fiber to boot. |

| Just one other idea you might want to look at on Knitpicks. Also on sale is their Swish Superwash Merino Worsted. Machine washable and dryable and softer and cozier as an afghan than cotton. Gorgeous color selection, too. Just a thought. |

| One thing to consider is that cotton worsted would make a rather heavy afghan. You would get a lighter afghan with the superwash merino unless wool allergies are a problem. |
