The Lucy Bag pattern, felted knitting

Posted by roselady35 (My Page) on

Have tried everywhere, after extensive Google search, and cannot obtain this pattern. Does anyone have it and would be willing to part with it? Will swap books, yarn, patts, needles, whatever.

Thanks, Rose

Might this be the pattern you're looking for?

Here is a link that might be useful: Free pattern for Lucy Bag

Does anyone have the non-felted version of this pattern?

It's not really urgent - I am not planning on knitting it as a Christmas present.

This is to answer jane2's question so somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

First you knit the bag and then you felt it. If you don't want to felt it, you would need to line the bag to keep things from falling through and probably use a yarn that can be washed without shrinking.

Jane2, I don't know that there is a non-felted version. I do know that my pattern is only felted. I suppose you could use the same pattern and use much smaller needles, and line it. Since you are supposed to felt it, the piece is huge when knitted, so using the smaller needles might work. Even after felting, and mine came out quite tight, I think it needs lined, but haven't done so yet.
