dish cloths, with a difference

Let me tell Y'all something different I did with dishcloths that I made last year....I make the ones that start in the corner and work their way out from there, although I'm sure you could do the same thing with any favorite cloth..... after I have reached the halfway mark and worked my way about halfway down the decreasing side, I stop using the yarn and start using a long narrowly cut strips of netting that I've cut and balled. There is no right or wrong to the size, so experiment with a piece,,,if memory serves, mine was between 1/4" and 1/2". This makes a nice 'scratcher' corner for your dish cloth

Good idea! I remember Heloise (the original) loved using nylon net.

You mean Heloise (great gal that she was), came up with this idea first? I'm crushed..thought I invented it myself...sigh!
(my only complaint is that the net is hard on the hands...one would NOT want to do the whole thing in net, believe me!)

I have knit a dishcloth (a small one) all in net. It was great for scrubbing but terrible to clean after.

BTW Heloise's scrubber wasn't knit, but gathered in a ball.

knitntink, put it in the dishwasher when you run it, if you have one. Works great!
