I'm looking for a crochet pattern for a hatscarf - a hat with the scarf attached. I've done a search and not come up with much? Is there another name to search under? Anyone have a source for a free pattern for this?

I tried "crochet pattern hooded scarf" in Google and got a lot of links to check. If you want a knit pattern, change crochet to knit. I'm working on one for my GD, I have the scarf part done now I need to get the size of the hood right and attach it to the scarf. Will it work? I don't know yet but don't see why not.

I came across a style that is just a long scarf folded in half and stitched to make the hood part. What I want is more like a hood with the scarf attached.

Good luck on your search, I never found just what I want so I'm making it up as I go along. I have until Christmas to make it work or give it up as a lost cause. :o)
