Anybody remember Lee Wards?

Twenty or maybe 30 years ago, I used to buy craft supplies at a store called Lee Wards. I believe there was also a print catalog. They closed many years ago. There's a video rental place in the building where they were. Anybody out there know if there are still any of these stores around?

Lee Wards was bought out years ago by Michaels Craft Stores.

Yes,thanks. I have a Michaels near me,but it's nowhere near as big as Lee Wards. I was just hoping they still had a retail business going, somewhere,somehow. I do get Herschners catalogs, used to get Mary Maxim also. Thanks for the reply JJ.

I loved Lee Wards. My BIL was an executive at Herrschners. My sister would design and make up samples for various things for their catalog. They passed on back in '81 so I've lost touch with what is going on.

I loved LeeWards, too! :( Michaels & AC Moore just aren't the same.

I also used to buy from Lee Wards. I loved their products.
Did any one make rhinestone jewelry? You used to be able to buy settings at a place called DON BAR. Does anyone know what happened to them?

Yes I loved Lee Wards sure do miss them, that was such a big store, could find anything you wanted...Wish they could come back...
