| I want to make 'crusher garden hats' for Christmas gifts and the one I have (and love) is either hemp or jute. Does anyone know what I should use and where I can get it? |

| I don't know where you'd buy jute but you can buy hemp yarn on line or in specialty stores that sell natural products and hemp clothes. Both jute and hemp have coarser fibers than yarn and could be hard on the hands to crochet. Although hemp would be softer and it does soften with washing and wear. I would say your hat is probably hemp. It would be the most readily available for clothing use |
