I have some lace weight yarns and want to knit some lace things this winter, so I'd sure be pleased if you'd share your favorite lace patterns (I'd like something fairly easy to do as I do a lot of knitting in the car and having to bother with a paper pattern is a bother...so, something simple would be great). I'd also like to make some triangular scarves to be worn, tied, at the neck, so if anyone has any patterns within public domain, I'd appreciate your posting those, too. Thanks.

Knit Picks has several free patterns for lace weight yarn. One of my favorites is the Feather and Fan pattern. It takes only four rows for the pattern. Row 1 is knit, row 2 is purl, row 3 is the pattern, and row 4 is knit. The Knit Picks downloadable .pdf shows three different items made with the pattern -- a shawl, a throw, and a lace weight scarf. And, they have a lot of other scarf patterns that use lace weight yarn.

Thanks, Lindsey.....I clean forgot about the feather and fan, a pattern I've used many times to make baby blankets...just never with lace weight. I'll knit a swatch and see if I like it....
