Red Heart Christmas Stocking

Posted by flyingkathy (My Page) on

I've been commissioned to make four Christmas stockings, but have lost the pattern.
Size 8 needles, Red Heart Yarn, Red, White, Green and Black.
Starts with White Border about 10 rows, where you put the name in Black Letters.
Then the next area has in intarsia a snow man's face with a black top hat and a pipe. There is a heel and then the toe.
There is supposedly also a Santa Face and a Mrs. Claus also. I suspect this was originally a kit. Help please.

I'm sorry, that pattern doesn't sound familiar. But if you go to knitting pattern central you will find quite a few stocking patterns there. I have just started one for my new grandson using red heart with one of the patterns I got there. Have you tried Red Heart's website? Just a thought.

I hate doing intarsia. I don't do the color chsanges right and it bunches up,won't lie flat. I have much better success embroidering names, etc. Good luck on finding this pattern.

Here's the directions for one that has trees on it. You can add any design you want, just graph it out.

Just in case you crochet, here's the directions for the crochet stocking. You can duplicate stitch your designs and names on it.

I looked at Coats and Clark's website (maker of Red Heart)
and found Free Christmas Stocking Patterns at:

Hope this helps and good luck.
