I do crochet a little and what I read somewhere and is
what I do:
When you get to the last stitch of the row, you get down
to 2 loops on hook, yarn over WITH NEW COLOR and you now
have the new color attached. I leave a little tail of old
and new yarn to weave in later.

That's what I have been reading however, when I get to the end of the row that I am doing I am only down to 1 loop. The ending of my row is like this. When I get down to the last 5 sc, I sc in each of the 3, skip 1 sc, then go through both loops of the last sc. That leaves me with one loop on my needle. Hope I am explaining this right. I'm so better at visual then reading. Thanks!!!

Use the new color to go through both loops of the last sc. While this might sound odd, when you begin the next row you will see that this is correct.
