help with stitch?

I started a dishrag pattern over the weekend and came to this row:

15th row: K1. Inc 1 st in next st. *yrn. P2tog. Rep from * to last 3 sts. P1. Inc 1 st in next st. K1.

I was clueless about "yrn" but found it -- "yarn around needle" -- so, how is that different from "yarn over needle" or are they the same?
