| I got a bagful of someone's "stash" from a girl at work...long story short a friend has quit knitting and she thought of me!! YEA. Lots of sock yarn (I'll have to learn how to knit socks now I guess), really nice yarns. In it is some Berroco Glace yarn that the friend has asked if I could make a small afghan for her. She wants it plain...I hate to knit "plain", but can't find even a pattern to use this yarn. I've never knitted with it, so don't know how it knits or anything. Since it's flat I'm wondering if a basket weave type of pattern would look nice? ANyone with ideas or know where a free pattern could be found?

| I like to use sock yarn to make cute booties, especially for boys or for moms who don't like all that baby pastel. |
