| Went to lunch with my sister yesterday to celebrate my birthday, which was last week. Wow, she gifted me with Knit Pics set of interchangable circular needles with wood tips! Plus a knitting book by Stephanie McPhee, if I recall her name correctly.
I will find time for a new project shortly to try these needles. I am the last to receive these needles as my very own gift. [I gave her a set and she gave my knitting son a set.] Maybe I will try to use up more of my stash by knitting another Baby Surprise Jacket. It would make a wonderful, mindless Olympic Games watching project. |

| Well, first, happy belated birthday, Sheila Joyce! And what a wonderful birthday present! I've bought a sampling of the interchangeables to see if I would like them much better than my Boye, and BOY, DO I, LOL! I'm thinking I will hint to DH that this would make a great Christmas present. |

| And also hint to him that he has to mail order them. I had mistakenly assumed I could pick them up at my LYS for my sister's birthday...boy am I glad I shopped a tad early to discover they are not available in stores. |
