Does anyone have the pattern for the willow square? It's kinda like a granny square.

Pattern Notes: Abbreviations and Charts

Beg: begin(ing); Ch(s): chain(s); Dc: double crochet; Hdc: half double crochet; Jn: join; Lp(s): loop(s); Prev: previous; Rem: remaining; Rep: repeat; Rds: round(s); Sc: single crochet; Sk: skip; Sl: slip; St: stitch; Sl st: slip stitch; Sp: space; Yo: yarn or thread over

Pattern Stitches and Notes: Join with a slip stitch unless otherwise noted.

Instructions: Ch 6, jn to form circle

Round 1: Ch 5 (counts as 1st dc and ch 2, here and throughout),* dc in next ch in circle, ch 2; rep from * around, join to 3rd ch of ch 5 (8 dc and ch 2 sps).

Round 2: ch 3, dc in same st as join; ch 3, *2 dc in next dc, ch 3; rep from * around, join to top of beg ch 3 (8 ch 3 sps).

Round 3: sl st into next dc; ch 3, dc in same dc, ch 5; *sk next dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 5; rep from * around, join to top of beg ch 3.

Round 4: ch 1, sc in same st as join; sc in next dc, 7 sc in ch 5 sp; *sc in next 2 dc, 7 sc in ch 5 sp; rep from * around, join to 1st sc.

Round 5: ch 3 (counts as 1 st dc), (2 dc, ch 2, 2dc) in next sc; dc in next sc; hdc in next 2 sc, sc in next 5 sc, hdc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, hdc in next 2 sc, dc in next sc; *(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next sc; dc in next.

sc; hdc in next 2 sc, sc in next 5 sc, hdc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, hdc in next 2 sc, dc in next sc; rep from * around; end with hdc in last 2 sc, join to top of beg ch 3.

Round 6: ch 3 (counts as 1 st dc); dc in next 2 dc; *(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch 2 sp; dc in next 21 st; rep from *

around; end with dc in last 18 st, join to top of beg ch 3

Round 7: ch 1, sc in same st as join; *ch 5, sk next st, sc in next st; rep from * around, end with ch 5, join with slip stitch to 1 st sc (50 ch-5 loops).

Thanks for the pattern. But that isn't the one I'm looking for.The square I'm looking for is used to make the larger than life bag.

Mary, a search turned up the information that the Willow square is from the book "200 Crochet Blocks". I may have this book at home. I'll check tonight and get back to you.
