Top down knitting pattern

Hi Does anyone know of some good instructions for knitting a sweater or shrug from the top down? I have a great pattern but it just so difficult for me. Perhaps there is a site which can simplify general from the top down knitting instructions. Thanks for any help.

I've knitted many sweaters from the following leaflet....it's top down, raglan sleeved, knitted in the round, and they don't come any easier;
