need crochet pattern for kiddie type puffy airplane

I am making a baby blanket, the nursery has the "puffy" kiddie type cartoonish red airplanes in the decor. I am making a rectangular blanket, but I need to find a pattern to add to the middle of the blanket for the airplane. It is not literally puffy, it is flat, just drawn puffy looking. Anyone have anything like that they can help me with? Thanks! :-) Mary

RE: need crochet pattern for kiddie type puffy airplane

This site sells a toy plane pattern:

The only free pattern I found wasn't really a toy plane:

I have never tried it, but in theory there are ways to convert images to crochet patterns. So, if you had a picture of the plane you could try something like this:

If you cross stitch, you could incorporate a fabric panel for the plane. You can download software to convert pictures to cross stitch patterns, like this:

Sorry, I'm not more help. Good luck!

I have used the graphs from this site before - I used the sports balls - and there are two planes. When I crocheted my blanket, I used single crochet but I guess you could test it in dc or hdc. Good luck. Post a picture when you finish.
