I would like to know if anyone has a pattern for bed socks that they would like to share. I did get one off of the internet, however am not too pleased with the end product. I haven't been able to find more than one.

This site is full of all kinds of socks at: http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/socks.php Hope this helps and good luck. |

The first pair of socks I made were too large, so I've converted them to "bed socks." They work well because they fit but not too tightly, especially around the ankles.

I was so scared to attempt socks. The first pair I made was from a pattern I purchased on ebay and it called for worsted weight yarn. I think any pair of socks using worsted weight yarn would be fine for bed socks. Even though I've made many more pair using finer yarn, I still make ones using worsted weight to wear for slippers or bedsocks.

I still plan to thrum some bed socks for my younger son in NYC. He complains his feet are always cold. He even gave me the roving, but I am busy knitting for babies now. Eventually, I will get to them.

Thanks for your imput ladies. I will try a few sock patterns that I have which make a larger sock and are for worsted weight yarn. It does get cold up here (northern Ontario) so a heavier wool pattern will probably do fine. Keep those suggestions coming!!!!!!!!

Look up thruming socks. You knit into the sock an inside layer of roving.
