Help putting colors together

Hi, I would like to try this pattern, but Joann's on-line does not list the fusia. Can someone reccommend a substitue color or two? Also What colors would work for a boys scarf?

I am terrible at putting colors together.

thanks for any help.

First, you may be able to get the fushia from Joann's. They take off colors as they run out, but restock at night. Check tomorrow, and you may have more options.

Second, for a boy I like the royal blue, leaf, french vanilla, and silver gray. Other colors I like from the lion brand site are intense medium blue or purple, coffee, and sterling.

If you want to go with the three colors (sterling, leaf, and blush) they already have and just find a sub for the fuchsia, I'd try the purple. Of the colors they list it looks like a good alternative.

I like the colors ilanaeid listed for boys... also royal blue, buttercup, mango, and french vanilla. I also like the royal blue/french vanilla/leaf combo with coffee.

Colors are my favorite part of working with yarn or fabric -- follow your instincts and have fun!

The picking out of the yarn is my favoite part too. I think I like coffee better than the silvery gray now that I picture it.
