| Hi all,
My granddaughters both want lacy crochet shawls but I am having trouble finding a pattern for a childs size. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

| I don't think I have ever seen a shawl pattern for a child, probably because it is not something most children would be able to keep on their shoulders while playing, etc. How old are the girls? I would think you could adjust many shawl patterns to fit a smaller person, though. I would suggest using a pattern that either starts at the bottom point and just work until it's the size you want, or use one that starts on the neck edge that begins in the center and increases from a central stitch, something like the butterfly wing shawl. |

| Donna, my granddaughters are 5 years old and really into the princess thing. They both would love a lacy shawl or ballero. Mary that pattern might be just what I need to make it to size. Thank you both. Jill |
