pattern from old Mccalls needlesworks 1988 need help

I'm working on a shawl pattern from Mccalls needleworks and crafts september 1988. There appears to be a problem with it--a discrepancy between the numbers of stitches you have after round 57, and the number you NEED to correctly finish the repeats. If anyone has done this pattern, or possible (all ye packrats) might have an october, november or other month after september 1988 that has a pattern correction, I would so appreciate your help!

Bizabet, I don't have it, or any of the others, but you can probably contact McCalls to find out if there are corrections. Or maybe even just google the pattern name and the magazine and come up with any corrections. It might even say errata instead of corrections. I hope you find the help you need.

Does the pattern list a designer name? If so you might track the designer down on ravelry and ask. I have done that before with patterns. Mary

Look up pattern errata on the McCalls website - they are usually pretty good about publishing them, even for old patterns.
