I saw a hat in one of my knitting books which had a high crown with a knitted bill attached like a baseball cap. Does anyone have a like pattern. Have enough extra yarn to make probably more than one. Appreciate any help. Barb

Was the pattern not in your knitting book? I'm asking because if you want someone to send you a pattern for free, it may be violating copyright laws. If you go to the various yarn companies' web sites, you can likely find a free pattern that suits your needs.

Have you checked out Ravelry.com?? It's a huge data base with lots of discussion boards, patterns, yarn ratings, etc. The cap you are describing sounds like a newsboy cap. If you click on patterns, then put in newsboy cap in the search box, you should come up with several. And some are free!

Ravelry has a lot of choices. The link will work once you join (free) and are logged in. I haven't gotten spammed as far as I can tell from joining this site.
Here is a link that might be useful: Caps.
