prayer shawl (pic)

These shawls are what got me interested in knitting. I have made and given away so many. They are fairly fast and I knit them while DH drives, I am so bored riding in autos. I love the light lacey look/ The one I'm making right now is navy blue and (IMO) the darker colors don't show the pattern as well as the lighter colors.

I keep looking at the beautiful knitted lace projects posted her and I hope to try one soon.

I goofed up on the first one I made so I now just double the last row and they are reversible.

That is so pretty!

I have a book of prayer shawl patterns that I bought from the Knit Picks web site. There are several patterns in there that I'd like to make, and I even have more than enough yarn for at least three of them, but I just haven't gotten around to starting one yet. I have a horrible habit of having too many projects "in progress" at one time, so I'm trying to curb myself of that.

And good for you for making yours reversible!!

Hi, Rosa! I don't think I knew you were a knitter, too. Your shawl is beautiful! We have a group of ladies at church who make prayer shawls. I 'spect I could crank out a few, myself! I've made baby blankets for preemies for church.
