I have used skeins of Paton wool for years. This past week after finishing one mitten and starting a small scarf, I switched to another identical skein. I was horrified as after the first twelve rows, the yarn would break apart about every three feet. Looking at the remaining yarn, I can see the very "thin" stretches of yarn. If I had only kept the sales slip! Has anyone else experienced this with Paton yarns of late? What other brand would be recommended?

Puzzlefan, please email Paton's about this problem. Most of the yarn companies will replace the defective yarn. At least, that has been my experience. Tami

I haven't found an email address for them yet but will keep searching.
