I need a small skein of 100% angora yarn in winter white to repair a X-mas stocking my grandmother made when I was a child. I live in Manhattan and have been to about 5 yarn shops. Only one store has 100% angora. They don't have winter white and they said the company has discontinued the yarn. The manufacturer is Valeria di Roma. I haven't seen any winter white on e-bay. Anyone with any ideas? Angora blend is not fuzzy enough. I need 100% angora.

Have you tried etsy.com and checked any fiber artists? Won't find the brand but you might find 100% hand-spun angora.

What is called "Off White" today could be the "Winter White" of years gone by... Here's a link to that brand yarn....
