I'm guessing that the size 14 knitting needle is a British size because there's no size 14 in U.S. knitting needle sizing (it'd be too large anyway). The British sizing is inverse of the American. I think the size 10 crochet hook is a 1.15mm so a close knitting needle size would be 0000 or 4/0. I got some from earthfaire.com for knitting beaded jewelry.

Hello Donna! I've just been looking at a conversion chart and I think an English 14 knitting needle is the equivalent of 2.0mm (US 0) Hope this helps! Karen

According to a plastic needle gauge I inherited from my grandmother, a double pointed steel size 14 is equal to a 00 knitting needle or 1 3/4 mm.
