| I made these last fall, actually the pink/peach/yellow one has a bit of an amusing story: my then 1 year old and I were planning to visit my family across town (about a 1/2 hour trip), and it was a hot sunny day, and I must have lost DD's only summer hat, so I was feverishly making rounds with the pink in hopes of making a makeshift hat to travel with later, I had completed up to the end of the peach bar by mid afternoon, the hat turned out a bit big but it had to do. Well, upon arriving at my family they were all taking turns wearing the hat and DD's grandma (my mom) even had a pic. snapped with the hat on and DD's pacifier in her mouth. It was quite a spectacle, they were saying I should make them to sell at summer fair tables (lol, not cost effective IMHO), I added yellow to the hat this year and DD's still getting lots of compliments about it.
Oh and the darker hat is one I made for myself, I only wear it in winter on bad hair days lol. |
