I wonder if she is just too lazy to get her weight down and has come up with this so that she doesn't have to try to diet at all and has - in her mind, at least - a legit excuse to eat all she wants. I am overweight all my life, but there is a limit as to how much I will gain and it's no where near 600 or 1000 pounds. I know that most overweight people, if the truth is known, would like to shed the extra pounds. I don't dwell on mine, but if a miracle drug came out to take off the pounds and still let me eat, I would be first in line to get it! Poor children. I am with everyone else. Someone needs to check on them and get them away from her. This is just so sad.

It was hard for me to image what it maust have been like to have lived 60 yrs in an iron lung. As I read the article, I realized that a backup power source would be absolutely necessary. According to the article I read, there was a backup generator, but the caretaker could not get it started. It appears to be a case of not understanding the concept of realibility and depending on a single source for backup. And I did not read anything about if that backup device had been tested on a regular basis.

I finally found it- and I wasn't even looking. I ran into the Shop Rite to pick up my Dad's fat free half n half and as I hurried through the express check out there was one copy sitting in the little rack. I grabbed it, checked the date, opened the index to double check and yep - I had the right one. Now I'm going to make a cup of English Breakfast tea and sit and read.
